02nd November, **** We are seeking a Junior Hospitality Environmental Services Assistant to work in a part time (9 hours/fortnight) capacity based at Kaniva .
RENUMERATION: Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement *********.
Classification KX1 - $***** per hour and $**** per year as per award.
ABOUT THE ROLE: The Junior Assistant helps with the preparation and service of meals.
They ensure that supplies and equipment are maintained in a secure and sanitary condition in accordance with the Department of Human Services Standards and Infection Control Guidelines.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Essential: Effective communication and organisational skills.
Demonstrate the ability to work without active supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively with other staff, support employees, consumers, management and the community.
Proven ability to prioritise and be multi-skilled.
Demonstrate basic ability to learn and use computer software packages including Microsoft, Outlook, Word, Excel and other software packages as necessary Desirable: Knowledge of Health Regulations, Infection Control Health Regulations and Victorian Food Safety Standards Proficiency in cleaning through on-the-job training.




Proficiency in kitchen duties and food preparation through on-the-job training Mandatory Employment Requirements: NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Working with Children Check.
Fully vaccinated (including influenza) as per current Department of Health Directives.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: Maintaining and complying with cleaning standards and Food Safety Guidelines.
Maintain a high standard of hygiene.
Ensure strict adherence with West Wimmera Health Service Infection Prevention protocols.
Communicate effectively with other employees within the facility.
Liaise and provide assistance with work colleagues and disability-supported employees in a professional manner.
