Retail Manager – Zambrero Broadbeach Position Type: Full-time (38 hours per week) Salary: $80,000 – $85,000 AUD per annum + Superannuation About the Role AJIT NAVYAA FAMILY PTY LTD trading as Zambrero Broadbeach is seeking an experienced, proactive, and commercial-minded Retail Manager to lead daily retail and restaurant operations at our high-volume Broadbeach store.
Located in the dining and entertainment precinct of Surf Parade, Broadbeach, our store delivers fresh Mexican-inspired food alongside Zambrero's plate-for-plate humanitarian mission.
The Retail Manager will assume overall responsibility for operational performance, customer service standards, cost management, staff leadership, and sales growth.
Key Responsibilities Overseeing and coordinating daily retail and store operations to achieve sales targets, profitability, and high service benchmarks.
Leading, mentoring, and supervising retail and service staff, including rostering, performance management, onboarding, and ongoing training.
Managing inventory levels, ordering stock, monitoring food and packaging usage, minimising shrinkage and waste, and conducting regular stock counts.
Ensuring strict adherence to Queensland food safety regulations, HACCP standards, workplace health and safety (WHS) protocols, and brand hygiene standards.
Maintaining high customer satisfaction levels by handling guest inquiries, feedback, and service escalations promptly and professionally.
Managing point-of-sale (POS) systems, cash control,



end-of-day takings reconciliation, and reporting daily sales and operational performance to company directors.
Executing visual merchandising, menu displays, and localized in-store promotions in alignment with national brand guidelines.
Liaising with suppliers, delivery partners, and maintenance contractors to maintain seamless business operations.
Requirements and Qualifications Qualifications: An Australian Diploma or higher qualification in Retail Management, Hospitality Management, Business, or a related discipline; OR at least 2–3 years of relevant managerial or supervisory experience in retail, quick-service restaurants (QSR), or hospitality.
Proven track record in retail or food service store management, shift scheduling, inventory control, and staff supervision.
Sound working knowledge of food hygiene legislation, food handling standards, and workplace health and safety requirements (Food Safety Supervisor certification is highly regarded).
Strong verbal and written communication skills with solid team leadership capabilities.
Proficiency with POS systems, cash reconciliation procedures, inventory management software, and general administrative reporting.
Full availability and flexibility to work across rotating rosters, including peak trading hours, weekends, and public holidays.
