About the role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Baker to join our team in Melrose Park. You will prepare and bake a variety of bakery products while maintaining consistent quality and efficient daily production. This is a full-time position, and we are looking for 2-3 years of experience.
What you'll do
Inspect bakery equipment and work areas for hygiene and safety
Check the quality and freshness of baking ingredients
Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
Knead and prepare dough for fermentation and baking
Divide, mould and shape dough for bakery products
Prepare pastry mixtures, fillings and other ingredients
Operate dough mixers, rollers and shaping machinery
Monitor oven temperatures and adjust baking times
Coordinate baking,



unloading and cooling of products
Apply glazes, toppings and finishes to baked goods
Inspect finished products for quality and consistency
Clean and prepare baking trays, tins and equipment
About you
A relevant qualification in Baking (Certificate III or equivalent) or relevant industry experience
Practical experience in dough preparation, fermentation and baking techniques
The ability to operate commercial bakery equipment safely
Knowledge of food hygiene and workplace safety standards
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to product quality
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good time management and organisational skills
