Farm Hand / Machinery Operator Quairading WA $40 to $48 per hour plus super Full time A well established cropping operation around Quairading in WA's Wheatbelt is looking for an experienced Farm Hand / Machinery Operator to join their team on a full time, ongoing basis.
You'll be spraying, seeding, harvesting and keeping a modern fleet running, with Trimble autosteer and full precision ag tools.
If you've got a couple of years of solid broadacre experience and want a long term role with a comfortable family home included, this one is worth a look.
THE OPERATION • 4,646ha farmed, with 4,343ha arable and under crop • Wheat, barley and canola • Around 165km east of Perth, with the farms 11km to 23km from town WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING • Spraying, seeding, harvesting and spreading • Machinery maintenance and upkeep • General farm maintenance • Logging seeding and spraying records THE GEAR YOU'LL RUN • Case IH **** and **** headers • Case 600 Steiger • JCB Fastrac **** iCON • Goldacres G6 self propelled sprayer and Goldacres **** tow behind sprayer • Volvo FH****** truck • Nyrex 46,000L chaser bin and Earnshaw seed/fert bin • JCB telehandler • Trimble autosteer, Cropscan protein monitor and Agworld record keeping HOURS Standard days are 7:30am to 5:00pm, with some flexibility (occasionally running later to finish a spray tank).
Through seeding and harvest the aim is 12 hour days, which may stretch to around 14 hours at peak times.




WHAT YOU'LL NEED • At least 2 years of farming experience, including spraying, seeding and harvest • HR licence (MC highly regarded) • Chemical handling accreditation and a forklift ticket, or a willingness to get them • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently • Positive written and spoken English WHAT'S ON OFFER • $40 to $48 an hour depending on experience, plus super • Full time, ongoing position • A 4 bedroom, 1 bathroom family home in the Quairading townsite.
It can be furnished or unfurnished, with white goods available, ducted reverse cycle air conditioning, a lockable double garage, a large undercover outdoor area and a reticulated garden on a 1,347m2 block • Work ute supplied • Potential for an on farm house further down the track Utilities (power, internet and water) aren't included unless otherwise agreed.
LIVING IN QUAIRADING Quairading has a doctor, a hospital, shops with 7 day trading, a pub, a club and a wide range of sporting clubs.
START DATE An immediate start is preferred, but mid January or February is fine given the upcoming harvest.
