West Kong Agricultural Management is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and resourceful individual and an experienced Fruit Farm Worker to join their team on a full-time basis as soon as possible.The position is located near Donnybrook.
The suitable candidate will be responsible for:Planting, pruning and caring for fruit trees & plants according to established guidelinesMonitoring and managing irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of cropsApplying fertilisers, pesticides and other chemicals as neededMonitoring crop health and identifying signs of diseases, pests or other issuesMaintaining cleanliness and organisation in the orchards.Patrolling, inspecting and reporting on the condition of land and dams.Planting trees, seeds, seedlings, roots, bulbs, tubers, vines and other plants using hand tools and farm machinesUndertaking soil preparation, cultivation and plant and crop maintenance duties such as thinning, weeding and hoeing soil, and pruning and thinning trees and vinesSpraying trees, vines and other plants with our chosen sprays to control weed growth, insects, fungus growth and diseasesOperating water and irrigation systems for plant growthErecting growing supports such as trellises, and protective structures such as greenhouses,



netting and fencesSelecting and picking fruit, nuts, grains, and vegetables according to set requirements, and discarding rotting and overripened produceGrading, sorting, bunching and packing produce and loading it into transporters, if requiredMaintaining and cleaning farming infrastructure and equipment such as sheds, fences, plant, and water supply and irrigation systemsOperating and maintaining general farm machinery and machinery to cultivate, fertilise, spray and harvest horticultural produceOperating data collection and farm technology systemsSkills required:Knowledge of how to harvest different types of fruit efficiently and without damaging the crops is crucialPaying close attention to detail is essential to ensure that fruits are harvested at the right time & sorted properlyGood time management skills can help ensure that tasks are completed on scheduleBeing adaptable and adaptable to changing circumstances is essential in this roleAnnual remuneration: $71,*******,000 + superannuationJob Type: Full-timePay: $71,****** – $75,****** per yearAbility to commute/relocate:Donnybrook WA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Work Authorisation:Australia (Required)Work Location: In person
