Goldfields Machining is looking for a Manual Machinist to join our Boulder workshop.
This role is based in our Boulder workshop (no site work), working on Manual Mills & Lathes to manufacture & repair drill rig components.
Some days you are working on feed cradles & DPU's other days you are making new rod, glands and pistons for a hydraulic cylinder.The JobYou will be in our Manual workshop using the lathes, mills, slotter & saws as required.
You will be responsible for the overall operation of the machines, its productivity and the standard of work produced.Setting up jobsReading detailed drawing and/or manufacture from samplesUse Precision Measuring InstrumentsBe able to cut threads & tapers, use 4 jaw chucks,



setup jobs in steadies and tailstocksWork in close tolerancesYouwill have a Trade Certificate in Machiningis practical and naturally good with their handstakes pride in getting things rightcan work independently without needing someone constantly checking what you're doingis organised and can keep track of what needs to happen nextworks well as part of a team and will pitch in when things get busyWhy UsGoldfields Machining is a locally owned and operated Machining workshop based in Kalgoorlie for nearly 20 years.

Home every night, working in an airconditioned shed (perfect for summer coming)Please note this is NOT a FIFO position it is residential in the Kalgoorlie Boulder region.
