Role Description The Event Specialist at Spaceman is a temporary, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering participatory events and activations within Spaceman’s designed environments. Day-to-day tasks include liaising with clients and partners, managing event logistics and timelines, coordinating vendors, and overseeing setup and pack-down. The Event Specialist will support event marketing activities, handle on-site customer inquiries, and ensure all attendees have a positive and engaging experience. The role also involves maintaining clear documentation, reporting on event outcomes,



and collaborating closely with the design and production teams to align each event with project goals. Qualifications
• Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on creating welcoming and engaging event experiences.
• Excellent Communication skills, including explicit verbal and written communication with clients, attendees, and internal teams.
• Event Planning experience, including scheduling, logistics coordination, vendor management, and on-site operations.
• Event Marketing and Sales skills to support promotion, attendee engagement, and stakeholder relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in office in quick-paced settings and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in placemaking, spatial or experiential design, or creative events is an advantage.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
• Prior experience in event coordination, hospitality, or customer-facing roles in Sydney or similar markets is beneficial.
