About the role We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team and uphold our commitment to exceptional food quality and service.
This is a full-time, ongoing position based in Jugiong, NSW.
You will plan and organise the preparation and cooking of food in our dining establishment.This role requires a high level of English proficiency, both spoken and written, so you can communicate effectively with staff, suppliers and customers.
What you'll do Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and order food suppliesMonitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentationDiscuss food preparation issues with managers, dietitians,



and kitchen and waiting staffDemonstrate techniques and advise on cooking proceduresPrepare and cook foodExplain and enforce hygiene regulationsSelect and train staff, as requiredFreeze and preserve foods, as required About you Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Chef in a high-quality dining or catering environmentStrong understanding of contemporary Australian cuisine and seasonal menu planningAbility to work effectively under pressure and lead a kitchen teamExcellent food presentation and attention to detailKnowledge of food safety and hygiene standardsStrong communication and organisational skillsAbility to manage food costs and minimise waste Qualifications AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Commercial Cookery, Culinary Arts or a related field, orAt least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualificationsAdditional on-the-job training or relevant culinary certifications may be required.
