ConsultANZ is looking for a Senior Project Engineer / Deputy Project Manager to join on a major wharf expansion project in Queensland.
This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in a technically complex marine civil project involving wharf upgrades, marine piling, offshore fabrication, and heavy-lift operations.
About the Role:
Join a major marine infrastructure project involving the upgrade and expansion of an existing wharf
Take a key role in delivering multimillion worth of construction works
Work with specialist marine equipment, including jack-up barges, and coordinate complex marine construction activities
Permanent opportunity with a 2:1 FIFO roster once site mobilisation begins
Initially office-based in Brisbane or Melbourne, with site mobilisation expected in April ****
Your Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate onsite project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
Coordinate marine civil works, including marine piling, wharf upgrades, and structural steel installation
Oversee offshore fabrication and installation of prefabricated wharf structures




Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, suppliers, and project stakeholders
Monitor project progress, costs, resources, and construction schedules
Review technical documentation, construction methodologies, and engineering designs
Manage project risks, variations, and technical issues throughout construction
Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
Support the Project Manager in driving project performance and successful delivery
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Senior Project Engineer or Deputy Project Manager on major civil infrastructure projects
Solid marine civil construction experience is essential
Experience with wharf construction, marine piling, offshore fabrication, or similar marine infrastructure works
Strong technical understanding of marine construction methods, tides, and jack-up barge operations
Experience managing subcontractors, project budgets, schedules, and construction teams
