Formwork Carpenter – Kilcomer Group - Salary $79,423 + super

We are recruiting a highly motivated and skilled formwork carpenter to help deliver a product that exceeds client expectations.

This role entails a hands-on approach. The successful applicant must be reliable, self-motivated and able to problem-solve.

The right candidate must be willing to travel, as our jobs are in both metropolitan and regional areas.

The candidate must have two years’ experience working as a formwork carpenter on civil projects. Experience working in Australia will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

· Review construction drawings and site specifications to understand formwork requirements, measurements and installation methods.

· Measure, mark out, cut and prepare timber and other materials for formwork and related carpentry work.

· Build, assemble and install formwork for civil concrete structures, including stairs, curved or radius sections and other non-standard shapes.

· Check formwork for accuracy, alignment,



level and stability before concrete placement.

· Carry out formwork adjustments, repairs and finishing work to meet project specifications and quality standards.

· Work with site supervisors and other trades to coordinate tasks and keep work progressing to schedule.

· Maintain a clean, organised work area and follow site safety procedures and all work health and safety requirements.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

· Must have a current White Card and be trade-qualified or have relevant industry experience.

· Must have a driver’s licence.

· Must have their own tools.

· Must be punctual, able to read plans, work in a team workplace and adhere to all site safety requirements.

· Must have carpentry skills for forming up stairs, radius formwork and Class 1 finishing work.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

· Must be able to provide references and show examples of previous work.

· A robust commitment to safety and work health and safety (WHS).

Pay: $79,423.00 per year
