Alchemy Recruitment is partnering with a local government client to support them in recruiting for a Customer Metering Services Officer on a temporary contract based in Beenleigh. This role covers approved leave within the water services team and suits someone who can start immediately and hit the ground running.

About the role
Pay rate of $44.99 per hour + super
Temporary contract through to mid-January 2027, immediate start
Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, office based in Beenleigh
Provide customer metering and billing support
Respond to customer enquiries and complaints
Investigate metering and billing matters and follow them through to resolution
Maintain accurate customer, property and metering records
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders

Preferred Requirements
Previous Pathway experience (strongly preferred), particularly customer requests,



customer/property records, notes and workflow
Experience in water billing, metering, rates or utility billing
Robust customer service and complaint handling skills
Accurate data entry and records management
Transparent written communication
Confident with Microsoft 365

Preferred Qualifications
Current Class C driver licence
Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Willingness to obtain job-specific immunisations supplied by council
Australian work rights
Availability for an in-person interview this week
