Mazda Australia is seeking a Company Accountant to join our National Finance team.

In this key role, you'll support reporting and forecastinu****g processes, partner across the business, and support strategic financial decision-making.
This position is a 9-month fixed term contract, requiring an in office presence five days a week to foster collaboration, strengthen team connections and ensure seamless support across the business.
Key Responsibilities include:
Support month-end close activities and coordinate accurate financial reporting and forecasting processes
Prepare monthly management reporting, including detailed gross profit and balance sheet analysis
Manage annual budgeting and partner with departments to review results against budget and forecast
Maintain and support general ledger reconciliations, fixed asset management, and foreign exchange payment processes
Coordinate internal and external audits and act as the key contact for auditors
Drive process improvement initiatives, finance system enhancements, and policy compliance
About You:
You are a proactive and analytical finance professional who enjoys working both strategically and hands-on.
You bring strong technical accounting capability, excellent communication skills,



and the confidence to build relationships across all levels of the business.
To be successful, you will have:
Proven experience as a Financial Accountant with a focus on lease accounting, group reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, year-end closing and external audits
A Completed Degree qualification in Accounting, Business, or Commerce is essential
CPA or CA preferred
Experience in a commercial or chartered accounting setting
Advanced Excel and ERP system capability (Oracle experience highly regarded)
Experience managing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines
