The Aboriginal languages team partners with communities and schools to support the development of language resources and localised school programs.The Project Officer – Aṉangu Bilingual Education is responsible for working with Aṉangu Schools and Aṉangu Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) to develop and implement approaches and resources which support students to develop their Pitjantjatjara, Yankunytjatjara or Southern Pitjantjatjara language and culture.The Project Officer supports Aṉangu Educators, Aṉangu Coordinators, teachers and leaders to build their capabilities to effectively teach or support first language literacy and learning through the delivery of professional learning and advice to schools.
They support non-Aṉangu staff to build their Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara language and cultural awareness.QualificationsEssential: A tertiary qualification in education and current full teacher registration.Desirable:
