With an experienced Finance Manager in place, the business is now looking to strengthen its finance function with a capable Financial Accountant who enjoys being close to the numbers and the broader operation.Your new roleReporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role across financial accounting, reporting and analysis while supporting the continued improvement of finance processes.
Your responsibilities will include:Month‐end reporting, journals and balance sheet reconciliationsIntercompany accounting and reconciliationsSupporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reportingMaintaining the fixed asset registerAssisting with management reporting and financial analysisSupporting audit, statutory and compliance requirementsProviding accurate financial information to operational stakeholdersIdentifying opportunities to improve and automate finance processesBroad Financial Accountant role | Circa $110K + superWhat you'll need to succeedYou'll be an experienced Financial Accountant who enjoys working in a hands‐on, commercially focused setting.
Ideally, you'll bring:Strong financial accounting and month‐end experienceExcellent reconciliation and analytical skillsExperience with budgeting and financial reportingStrong Excel skills and confidence learning accounting systemsExcellent attention to detail and a proactive approachThe ability to communicate effectively with finance and non‐finance stakeholdersCA/CPA qualification, or progress towards qualification,



will be highly regardedExperience within a manufacturing, industrial, distribution or another operational environment would be advantageous.What you'll get in returnThis is an excellent opportunity to join an established business and work closely with an experienced Finance Manager while taking ownership of a broad accounting remit.Circa $110,000 + superBroad Financial Accountant position with genuine ownershipDirect exposure to the Finance ManagerOpportunity to improve systems and processesEstablished operational businessWestern suburbs Derrimut location with parking on‐siteKey ResponsibilitiesPrepare and substantiate Balance Sheet accounts and departmental revenue streamsAssist with statutory and management reporting (P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cashflow)Support Accounts Payable and provide technical accounting guidanceContribute to ATO reporting (BAS, Tax Returns, FBT)Develop and enhance operational and financial reporting, with a focus on automationSupport audits, including preparing documentation and liaising with external auditorsMonitor cost and revenue performance and drive continuous process improvementsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and CapEx planningSupport accounting standards implementation (AASB 15 & AASB 16)Contribute to commercial finance initiatives (e.g. invoicing automation,
