Depot Operations Manager, Concrete Waste ServicesYou'll run the depot, the drivers and the customers.
Hours are 6am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
There are occasional after-hours and Saturday calls, but we're automating these so only urgent matters come to you.
You'll report to the owner with a short weekly update covering jobs, drivers, safety and customers, and suggest ways to improve how we work.Key responsibilitiesPlanning each day's work in the PumperDump app and allocating jobs to driversTaking customer calls and bookings, and encouraging customers to use the appOrganising collections and setting the next day's delivery runsChecking jobs and invoices, and approving drivers' timesheetsKeeping safety and compliance up to date: SWMS, risk assessments, lifting register, truck and crane servicing, regoOrdering bins, parts and supplies, and handling breakdowns, incidents and complaintsLeading and managing the teamCovering for a driver when they're awayAbout youHeavy Rigid (HR) licence (essential)A vehicle loading crane licence (CV) is preferred, but training can be provided to the right candidateExperience in transport, logistics or construction operations, such as dispatch, scheduling or supervising driversA former driver who has moved into dispatch or supervision would suit this role wellConfident with customers on the phone,



and comfortable saying no politely if requiredOrganised, calm under pressure, and valuable at juggling a changing dayComfortable with apps and computersA working knowledge of WHS on construction sites; experience with concrete, waste or plant hire is a bonusAbout usPumperDump has been solving concrete washout waste on Sydney construction sites since ****.
We supply and service concrete washout units and blowback bins for builders and concrete pumpers and recycle the waste.
Our customers include many of Australia's top-tier construction companies.
We're a small team: three drivers, a yard, a water recycling plant, and our own PumperDump app for bookings, scheduling and deliveries.
