Build your career on a newly awarded WA roads projectSeymour Whyte has recently secured a new project in Western Australia, creating an chance for an experienced Project Engineer to join our growing WA team.
Based in Perth, this drive-in drive-out role offers a 5:2 roster and the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a significant roads project.We are looking for someone with previous experience working on Main Roads projects and a solid background in road construction.
You will bring practical project delivery experience and the technical capability to coordinate construction activities safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.About the roleWorking closely with the project delivery team, the Project Engineer will coordinate on-site construction engineering activities and support the safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of allocated works.Key responsibilities will include:Coordinate road construction activities against plans and specificationsMonitor progress and report against the project programTrack project costs, revenue, productivity and forecastsManage subcontractors, supervisors, trades and site resourcesInterpret designs and recommend practical construction solutionsPrepare forecasts, status reports and resourcing informationSupport procurement, subcontract administration and variationsDevelop ITPs, SWMS and other project documentationIdentify and elevate safety, delivery and commercial risksContribute to site meetings, toolbox talks and pre-startsThe role will coordinate construction engineering functions and provide the technical support needed to achieve project objectives.Skills and experience requiredBachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalentPrevious experience delivering Main Roads projectsStrong road construction and civil infrastructure experienceSound planning, programming and commercial capabilityExperience managing subcontractors, budgets and forecasts, contractual claims, variations.Familiarity with WHS and Environmental legislation,



ability to produce Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
