About One Hungry Bear
One Hungry Bear is a gourmet food truck bringing restaurant-quality food to people at prices they can afford. We’re known for our steaks, our wild and out-there chicken wing flavours, and our sandwiches and sides. We’re based permanently in Hurstville and occasionally take the truck to events. We’re a small, busy team that takes the food seriously and has fun doing it.

The role
We’re looking for a grill master to own the grill and fryer. You’ll cook steaks to the perfect temperature, run the fryer for wings and sides, and keep quality consistent when the queue is long. It’s a hands-on casual role, and we’re looking for someone who could grow into a manager position as we expand.

Your responsibilities
Cook steaks to order with consistency and care
Run the fryer station (wings, chips and sides)
Prep marinades, sauces, wing flavours, salads and other key menu items
Keep your station clean, safe and compliant with food safety standards
Help keep service quick without dropping quality
Join us at the occasional event (roughly once every 3 months)

About you
Strong skilled kitchen experience (restaurant,



pub, catering or food truck)
Confident on the grill, with a excellent sense of timing and doneness
Comfortable working quickly in a compact space
Reliable, positive and calm under pressure
Food Handling Certificate (or willing to get one)
Available for Thursday to Sunday shifts, including evenings and weekends
Available for the occasional event shift
Experience with specialty or premium steaks (dry-aged, wagyu, reverse sear) is a big plus
A passion for bold flavours and a leadership mindset are welcome
