About the RoleAs Technical Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, providing technical guidance to tradespeople and ensuring work is completed in accordance with quality, safety and operational requirements.Working closely with site management, planners and other operational teams, you'll play a key role in maintaining productivity, improving processes and supporting the development of your team.Your responsibilities will include:Supervising and coordinating daily maintenance and workshop activitiesAllocating work to suitably qualified and competent tradespeopleProviding technical guidance, troubleshooting support and direction to maintenance teamsMonitoring work quality and ensuring maintenance tasks meet required standardsConducting technical inspections and identifying additional quality checks where requiredEnsuring accurate completion of work orders and maintenance documentationMonitoring outstanding maintenance activities and addressing overdue work ordersInvestigating equipment defects and identifying appropriate corrective actionsCoaching, mentoring and developing tradespeople to improve performance and capabilityMaintaining compliance with workplace health, safety and quality requirementsWorking collaboratively with management and planning teams to improve operational efficiencyIdentifying and implementing continuous improvement initiativesAbout YouWe're looking for a confident and capable leader who brings a combination of hands-on trade knowledge, technical problem-solving abilities and strong people management skills.To be successful, you will ideally have:A relevant trade qualification, Certificate IV or equivalent experience acceptable under contract requirementsDemonstrated experience supervising tradespeople or leading maintenance teamsStrong mechanical, technical or industrial maintenance knowledgeExperience conducting technical inspections, quality checks and fault investigationsConfidence using maintenance management systems, with SAP or MILIS experience highly regardedStrong computer skills, including Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication skills and the ability to motivate, coach and develop employeesA sound understanding of workplace health and safety, quality and compliance requirementsExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesA current Australian C Class manual driver's licenceExperience in Defence, heavy vehicle maintenance, mechanical workshops, industrial maintenance or similar technical environments will be highly regarded.Why Consider This Opportunity?
