This is a full time, ongoing position based in Jugiong, NSW.
You will plan and organise the preparation and cooking of food in our dining establishment.This role requires a high level of English proficiency, both spoken and written, so you can communicate effectively with staff, suppliers and customers.What you'll doPlan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and order food suppliesMonitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentationDiscuss food preparation issues with managers, dietitians,



and kitchen and waiting staffDemonstrate techniques and advise on cooking proceduresPrepare and cook foodExplain and enforce hygiene regulationsSelect and train staff, as requiredFreeze and preserve foods, as requiredAbout youMinimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Chef in a high-quality dining or catering environmentStrong understanding of modern Australian cuisine and seasonal menu planningAbility to work effectively under pressure and lead a kitchen teamExcellent food presentation and attention to detailKnowledge of food safety and hygiene standardsStrong communication and organisational skillsAbility to manage food costs and minimise wasteQualificationsAQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Commercial Cookery, Culinary Arts or a related field, orAt least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualificationsAdditional on-the-job training or relevant culinary certifications may be required.
