Calibre Resourcing Solutions (CRS) is currently recruiting experienced Multi-Skilled Operators, Diesel Fitters and Mechanical Fitters for opportunities across North Queensland.
We have a combination of ongoing mining opportunities and permanent trade positions available.
CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES
1. MULTI-SKILLED OPERATORS – MINING
Approximately 13•–150km south of Townsville
DIDO ONLY | ONGOING OPPORTUNITIES
We are seeking experienced Multi-Skilled Operators with demonstrated operating experience across:
- Excavators
- Wheel Loaders
- Rock Breakers
- Rigid and Articulated Haul Trucks
- Dozer experience highly regarded
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating multiple types of heavy mining equipment in a ROM (Run of Mine) environment, including material handling, moving high-grade ore and ROM management activities.
- Current relevant RII machinery competencies.
- Current Driver Licence and reliable transport.
- Ability to work away from home during rostered shifts.
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical, functional capacity and drug and alcohol assessments.
- Current suitable medical and chest X-ray highly regarded.
Roster: Initially day shift while completing site competencies, transitioning to a 7/7/8/6 rotating roster once signed off as competent.
Meals and accommodation provided while on site.
KEY – STRICTLY DIDO
Applicants must reside in Townsville, Ayr, Charters Towers or close surrounding areas.
This is NOT a FIFO prospect. Only applicants meeting the local residential requirements will be considered for shortlisting.
2. DIESEL FITTER – HEAVY EQUIPMENT & FIXED PLANT
Wongabel QLD – Near Atherton
PERMANENT | LOCAL / RESIDENTIAL ROLE | NO FIFO
We are recruiting an experienced Diesel Fitter for a permanent position working across a diverse range of equipment.
Equipment includes:
- Heavy earthmoving machinery
- Highway trucks and trailers
- Light vehicles
- Concrete agitator trucks
- Fixed and mobile crushing plants and screens
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fixed and Mobile Plant or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years' post-training experience.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to train and mentor apprentices.
- Ability to meet pre-employment medical and drug testing requirements.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm, with overtime opportunities.
This is a varied mechanical maintenance opportunity outside a traditional mining roster.
3. MECHANICAL FITTER – MINING
Approximately 140–150km south-west of Townsville, near Charters Towers
DIDO ONLY | NORTH QUEENSLAND
We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified Mechanical Fitters for a mining opportunity in North Queensland.
Requirements:
- Relevant mechanical trade qualification.
- Previous mechanical maintenance experience.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work away from home as required.
- Current Driver Licence and reliable transport.
