We are seeking an Electrical – Commercial Estimator to join our team!

This is a great opportunity for an experienced electrical estimator to build a long-term career within the commercial sector, joining a dynamic team that genuinely invests in its people. While full training will be provided on internal systems, a strong electrical background and the ability to interpret plans is essential. Reporting to the Commercial Estimating Manager, this role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to be involved across the full tender and project lifecycle.

What you'll be doing?

- Compiling accurate estimates: Preparing accurate estimation costs for current developments, including bills of quantities and applying man hours.
- Preparing tender documentation: Preparing tender documents, reviewing drawings and specifications, and identifying tender qualifications and clarifications.
- Managing the tender process: Carrying out pre-tender evaluations, creating and allocating estimate numbers, and maintaining the Tender Register and electronic tender files.
- Conducting risk assessments: Completing tender risk assessments and submitting insurance notifications to the broker where applicable.
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors: Issuing sub-trade enquiries, recording quotations, and liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and project management throughout the tender process.
- Finalising tender submissions: Reviewing and finalising tender submissions with management before they're submitted to customers, and preparing tender letters and breakdowns.
- Following up on outcomes: Following up with customers on tender outcomes and obtaining Letters of Intent where applicable.
- Supporting project handover: Liaising with the Construction Manager and Project Manager to review tender documentation and facilitate smooth project handover.




- Maintaining accurate records: Updating the Tender Register, completing Project Cost Control documents, and coordinating with Reception and Accounts to set up project job numbers.
- Conducting electrical tests: Carrying out electrical tests as required, drawing on practical electrical knowledge.
- Responding to enquiries: Attending to customer enquiries and requests as part of the day-to-day role.

Who are they looking for?

- Current WA A-Grade Electrical Licence: A current WA A-Grade Electrical Licence is essential, or candidates in a position to transfer an overseas licence to WA recognition.
- Commercial estimating experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience as an electrical estimator, ideally within the commercial sector.
- Commercial construction background: Previous experience within the commercial construction industry, along with relevant Australian industry experience.
- Strong computer skills: Confidence using estimating software along with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Familiarity with Estimating Solutions or Tracer is desirable but not essential.
- Attention to detail: High attention to detail across estimates, tender documentation, and project records.
- Strong communicator: Clear verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills for liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams.
