You’ve done the hard yards on the floor. You can read a room, calm a rush and lift a team when the dockets are piling up. Now you want someone in your corner who’ll show you how a venue really runs, and then hand you the keys to more of it.

That’s this role. As Assistant Venue Manager at The Mona Social, you’ll be the Venue Manager’s right hand. You’ll be in the room for the big decisions, learning the commercial side, and getting real ownership from day one. We’re not looking for an extra pair of hands. We’re looking for our next Venue Manager.

What you’ll be doing

- Learning from the inside.



Work closely with the Venue Manager on the day-to-day running of the venue and see how it all fits together.

- Building the team. Lead recruitment, onboarding, training and development for Front of House. You’ll shape who joins and how they grow.

- Running the floor. Own service: set roles, read the night and keep everything moving.

- Setting the bar. Champion our food and beverage standards and make sure every guest gets that signature Boathouse welcome.

- Taking pride in the place. Keep the venue and event spaces looking their best.

What you’ll bring

- Experience in a supervisor or assistant manager role in hospitality, and the hunger for more

- A natural, guest-first warmth paired with real professionalism

- Calm under pressure: you’re the steady one when it’s three deep at the bar

- Strong organisation and time management, and you lead by example

- A genuine interest in people leadership and growing your skills

- Availability for nights and weekends (it’s hospitality, after all)

- RSA and First Aid, or happy to get them
