This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of project coordination experience who wants to build a career in renewable energy and gain broad exposure to how major projects are actually developed.
Our client is seeking a Project Coordinator to work closely with the development team, supporting major energy projects from early-stage development through to construction readiness.
Rather than being confined to traditional project administration, you'll work across development, engineering, commercial and stakeholder activities, helping keep projects organised, progressing and focused on their next major milestones.
The Role
Working alongside an experienced development team, you will:
- Coordinate project schedules, milestones, actions and risk registers
- Support site due diligence across planning, environment, property and technical workstreams
- Coordinate consultants, contractors and internal project stakeholders
- Track project deliverables, approvals and upcoming development milestones
- Assist with community consultation and landholder engagement activities
- Undertake research across electricity markets, technology, regulation and industry developments
- Support project feasibility, commercial analysis, budgets and expenditure tracking
- Assist with procurement, quotations, tenders and contract documentation
- Prepare project reports, presentations, investment papers and other decision-making materials
- Maintain effective project documentation, governance and reporting processes.
About You
We're looking for someone with:
- 2+ years' experience in project coordination, project administration or a similar role
- Solid organisation skills and the ability to keep multiple workstreams moving at once
- Experience managing project schedules, actions, documentation and deliverables
- Confidence coordinating internal teams, consultants and external stakeholders
- Strong written communication and attention to detail
- Good Microsoft Office capability, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams
- A proactive approach and the ability to operate effectively within a lean, fast-moving environment
- An interest in renewable energy and developing a broader understanding of project development.
Experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities, construction or property development would be particularly valuable, as would exposure to commercial analysis, financial modelling, community engagement or project management methodologies.
Why This Opportunity?
Breadth of exposure. You'll sit close to the people making development and investment decisions and gain visibility across the technical, commercial, planning, stakeholder and financial considerations that determine whether major energy projects progress.
For someone wanting to build a long-term career in renewable energy development, it offers an opportunity to develop a much broader skill set than a conventional Project Coordinator position while joining a platform with ambitious plans for growth.
