Santi Accounting is an award-winning boutique Chartered Accounting firm based in Ormeau, Gold Coast, and we're looking for an experienced Intermediate Accountant to join our growing team!

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working directly with clients and is ready to take ownership of their own portfolio while continuing to develop their career.

This is a permanent, full-time position working from our Ormeau office. This role is 100% office-based and is not available as a remote position.

About the Role

Working closely with our Principal and experienced accounting team, you'll be responsible for:

- Managing your own portfolio of clients across a diverse range of industries, including construction, hospitality and consulting.

- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, companies and trusts.

- Preparing and reviewing Business Activity Statements (BAS).

- Working with clients with annual turnovers of up to $10 million.

- Assisting with taxation matters including CGT, FBT and Division 7A.

- Reviewing bookkeeping records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.

- Building strong relationships with clients and assisting with their ongoing accounting and taxation needs.

- Supporting and mentoring Junior Accountants, including reviewing their work.

- Working collaboratively with our team to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional client service.

About You

Ideally,



you'll have:

- 3–4 years of experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm.

- Experience preparing financial statements and income tax returns across various business structures.

- Confidence managing your own workload and communicating directly with clients.

- Sound knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and compliance requirements.

- Experience with CGT, FBT and Division 7A, with payroll tax experience considered an advantage.

- Strong proficiency in Xero and MYOB.

- A relevant accounting degree and be currently working towards your CA or CPA qualification.

- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.

- A positive attitude and willingness to support and contribute to a team environment.

- Previous experience mentoring junior accountants would be highly regarded.
