Assistant Accountant wanted for a 6-month role - Perth SOR. Great supportive team commencing late November.

Your recent role

Commencing at the end of November and reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will support month-end and transactional accounting activities, including:

- Preparing and posting journals, accruals and prepayments
- Completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
- Preparing month-end work papers
- Processing supplier invoices and reconciling supplier statements
- Assisting with credit card acquittals
- Preparing monthly BAS and GST reconciliations for review
- Supporting monthly management reporting

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Recent Assistant Accountant or similar accounting experience
- Strong month-end,



reconciliation and BAS/GST experience
- Strong Excel skills and exposure to ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector would be beneficial
