About the Role

This isn't a role where you'll be sitting behind a desk all day.

Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, you'll help lead our Central Workshop, coordinating maintenance activities, supporting a team of tradespeople, and ensuring our assets, vessels, and equipment are maintained safely and efficiently. You'll be just as comfortable planning the work as you are rolling up your sleeves and helping get the job done.

In this role you'll:

- Lead and support a team of mechanical and hydraulic specialists to deliver quality maintenance outcomes
- Coordinate day-to-day workshop operations and maintenance priorities
- Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting when needed
- Work closely with Marine Operations and other stakeholders to keep assets operating at their best
- Drive a strong safety culture and lead by example in safe work practices
- Support the development and training of team members
- Manage workshop inventory, spare parts, and maintenance documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and team performance

solutions-focused, and happy to jump in when the job requires it.

You'll bring:

- A relevant trade qualification and strong maintenance experience
- Experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, marine, or industrial equipment
- Proven leadership experience and the ability to coordinate a busy operational team
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle changing priorities
- Confidence communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Experience using maintenance systems and Microsoft Office programs
- A commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and developing those around you
