We are seeking experienced Registered Nurse Scrub Scouts to join a busy and dynamic perioperative team in Brisbane. This role is ideal for nurses with robust experience across a range of surgical specialties, particularly Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery, who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care within a fast-paced theatre environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide safe, evidence-based perioperative nursing care.
- Demonstrate clinical expertise in Scrub/Scout nursing across a variety of surgical procedures.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with quality, safety, and infection control standards.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and risk management activities.
- Assist with the education and support of junior staff where required.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

Essential Criteria





- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Perioperative Scrub Scout Registered Nurse.
- Strong experience in Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, and other surgical specialties highly regarded.
- Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced theatre environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing (desirable).
