There’s a moment in every Physics class when it clicks, and the teacher who makes that happen is the one students remember.

This independent school in Brisbane’s western suburbs is looking for an experienced Physics teacher with deep content knowledge and the warmth to bring students along with them.

A strong, values-led ethos sits alongside academic excellence, comprehensive co-curricular programs and state-of-the-art facilities. The people who thrive here see Physics as a way into students’ heads and confidence, not just a syllabus to get through.

The Role

- Teach QCAA Physics to secondary students in a well-resourced department with experienced curriculum leadership
- Permanent, full-time position commencing Term 1 2027
- Scope to teach additional science subjects where needed, so openness to learn is as welcome as experience
- Opportunities to contribute to co-curricular programs

What’s on offer

- Tuition fee concessions and other family-friendly benefits
- Wellbeing support
- Ongoing professional learning
- A collaborative school community

About you

- Demonstrated experience teaching QCAA Physics in a secondary school
- A real way with young people: patient, warm, and able to explain a tricky idea three different ways until it lands
- Robust classroom management and organisation, plus solid knowledge of curriculum, assessment and reporting
- A science teaching qualification - postgraduate Physics or science education study is a bonus, but not essential
- Current QCT registration
- Full working rights in Australia
- Early career teachers with deep Physics knowledge and a natural way with students are also encouraged to apply

If you can make Newton’s laws feel like a good story and still know the content inside out, we’d like to hear from you.
