The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced SMSF Accountant to join the firm's growing superannuation team.

Working closely with experienced SMSF specialists and financial advisers, you'll manage a portfolio of SMSF clients, overseeing compliance requirements while gaining exposure to broader superannuation strategies and advisory matters.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your technical expertise, build strong client relationships and become part of a team that values quality advice and exceptional client service.

Key responsibilities include:

- Prepare annual financial statements, income tax returns and associated compliance documentation for SMSFs.
- Manage a portfolio of SMSF clients, ensuring compliance with relevant superannuation legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, the ATO and other external stakeholders.
- Assist with complex SMSF matters, including pension commencements,



contributions and fund transactions.
- Work closely with financial advisers and senior accountants to support clients with their broader superannuation needs.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing timely and professional advice.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies across the SMSF function.

About You

- 2+ years SMSF accounting experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of SMSF compliance, taxation and superannuation legislation.
- Experience using Class Super software (essential)
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, client-focused approach.
- CA/CPA qualifications or progress towards completion will be highly regarded.
