As our business continues to grow and evolve, we're looking for an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy and drive the next phase of our growth.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of technology across a diverse telecommunications group, from network infrastructure and cloud communications to software engineering, cyber security and emerging technologies.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer to join our Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO.

You'll be responsible for defining and delivering the Group's technology strategy, overseeing network and platform architecture, software engineering, IT infrastructure and cyber security.

Working closely with the executive team and leaders across the business, you'll ensure our technology platforms are secure, reliable, scalable and positioned to support our long-term commercial objectives.

With direct leadership responsibility for our Head of Networks and Head of Voice, you'll play a critical role in strengthening our technical capabilities, modernising our technology environment and building a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.

This is a role that combines strategic leadership with practical execution. You'll have the opportunity to influence major technology decisions, shape investment priorities and deliver improvements that make a measurable difference to our customers, people and business.

Key Responsibilities

- Technology Strategy & Innovation: Define and deliver a multi-year technology strategy and roadmap aligned with the Group's commercial objectives, growth plans and customer experience priorities.

- Network & Platform Leadership: Oversee the architecture, performance and continuous improvement of our voice, data, cloud communications and network platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability and service quality.

- Engineering & Product Delivery: Partner with software engineering and product teams to deliver recent products, features and technology solutions that support innovation and business growth.

- Infrastructure & Systems:



Lead the management and modernisation of IT infrastructure, cloud services, OSS/BSS platforms and internal business systems.

- Cyber Security & Resilience: Own the Group's cyber security strategy, including risk management, incident response, business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities.

- Technology Transformation: Drive platform consolidation, system modernisation, automation and technology improvements that reduce complexity and improve operational efficiency.

- Regulatory & Technical Compliance: Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure technology systems and processes support telecommunications, security, privacy and other relevant regulatory obligations.

- Commercial & Vendor Management: Manage technology budgets, investment decisions and key relationships with carriers, wholesale partners and technology vendors, ensuring strong commercial outcomes.

- Emerging Technologies: Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation and data capabilities to improve customer experience, operational performance and competitive advantage.

- Executive Leadership: Partner with the CEO and executive team, providing strategic technology advice, reporting on performance and developing high-performing technical teams.

What Experience You Have

Ideally, you'll bring:

- Proven experience leading technology functions at an executive or senior leadership level, ideally within telecommunications, ISP, cloud communications or a related technology environment.

- Deep technical knowledge of voice and data networks, including VoIP/SIP, hosted PBX, UCaaS, NBN, fibre connectivity, MVNO services and core IP networking.

- Demonstrated success developing and executing technology strategies aligned with business growth and commercial objectives.

- Strong experience in cloud and hybrid infrastructure, systems architecture and highly available, resilient technology platforms.

- A solid understanding of cyber security frameworks, including ASD Essential Eight, ISO 27001 and NIST,



alongside relevant data protection obligations.

- Knowledge of telecommunications technical and regulatory requirements, including ACMA obligations, emergency call services, the Telecommunications Act, SOCI and privacy legislation.

- Experience leading software engineering, Agile delivery, DevOps and large-scale technology transformation programmes, including OSS/BSS modernisation and platform migrations.

- Strong commercial capability across technology budgeting, vendor management, carrier relationships and technology investment decisions.

- Experience identifying and implementing opportunities through automation, AI and data-driven technologies.

- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations.
