THE ROLE Engineering Trades Australia are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for an ongoing workshop based role in Brisbane.

Working with a reputable engineering and fabrication business, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment used across a variety of industrial projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure stable long term work with consistent hours and a supportive team environment.

DUTIES INCLUDE

- Mechanical assembly and installation of equipment
- Maintenance and overhaul of pumps, valves and gearboxes
- Alignment of mechanical components and rotating equipment
- Fault finding and equipment repairs
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Pipe fitting and flange assembly work as required
- General workshop fitting activities
- Operating hand and power tools
- Maintaining quality, safety and production standards
- Working effectively within a team environment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter
- Previous workshop or industrial maintenance experience
- Experience working on pumps, valves, gearboxes and rotating equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault finding skills
- Pipe fitting experience highly regarded
- Robust commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a team

DESIRABLE

- Forklift Licence
- EWP Licence
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- Experience within manufacturing, mining, oil and gas or heavy industry environments
