Job Description

Migration Unity As a Recruitment Consultant at Migration Unity, you will manage the full recruitment cycle for employer clients, from the initial vacancy briefing through to a signed employment contract. You will source and interview candidates, assess their suitability, and present shortlists to employers, who then employ the successful candidate directly.

The role spans a range of occupations and industries, with candidates in Australia and overseas, and reports to the Managing Director.

Task & responsibilities

- Meet with employers to understand each vacancy, and record a role brief covering the job description, salary, hours and conditions.
- Prepare and place job advertisements, and source candidates through our database, job boards and professional networks.
- Approach and interview candidates, and assess their skills, experience and suitability for the role.
- Present shortlists to employers, arrange interviews and provide timely feedback to employers and candidates.
- Run reference checks and work rights checks, and negotiate pay, conditions and start date between the employer and the candidate.
- Build lasting relationships with employers and candidates, and generate repeat business.
- Keep accurate records in our CRM and follow our recruitment compliance policy.





Qualification & experience

- A bachelor degree in human resources, business, psychology or a related field, or at least five years of relevant recruitment experience.
- At least three years of full-cycle recruitment experience, in an agency or in-house.
- Strong interviewing skills and sound judgement about people.
- Clear, professional written and spoken communication in English.
- Confidence with a CRM or applicant tracking system, job boards and LinkedIn.
- A good understanding of Australian employment basics, including awards, contracts and the National Employment Standards.
- A record of placing candidates across more than one occupation or industry.
- Integrity, discretion and care with personal information.
- The right to work in Australia. It is a bonus if you have recruited from overseas, worked with skilled and shortage occupations, placed candidates in regional areas or built strong employer relationships.
