Our client is seeking a reliable Natural Area Officer to join their team in Mackay. This role focuses on vegetation management across foreshores, reserves and natural public spaces, helping maintain clean, safe and well-presented areas for the community.

What You Will Be Doing

- Carrying out vegetation management across foreshores, reserves and natural areas.
- Performing weeding and general grounds maintenance.
- Operating whipper snippers and other grounds maintenance equipment.
- Applying herbicides in line with safety procedures and relevant requirements.
- Maintaining public spaces and helping control unwanted vegetation.
- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues as required.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures and maintaining a secure work environment.

What You Will Need

- Current HR driver's licence.
- Experience in vegetation management, grounds maintenance, parks and gardens or a similar role.
- Experience using whipper snippers and other vegetation management equipment.




- Herbicide application experience is highly regarded.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors.
- Strong work ethic, reliability and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- $34.96 per hour + Super + Penalties
- Monday to Friday
