Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations using standardized assessment tools.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable short- and long-term goals.
- Deliver therapy sessions in clinic, community, and home settings where required.
- Prepare therapy materials, activities, and exercises tailored to client needs.
- Monitor and document client progress through clinical notes and reports.
- Prepare reports required for care planning and funding purposes.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and support coordinators.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with skilled standards.
- Provide guidance and education to families to support therapy goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Speech Pathology / Speech Therapy or related field.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
