PRISTINE 9 PTY LTD PRISTINE 9 PTY. LTD., as trustee for Pristine 9 Unit Trust (ABN 31 964 657 978), trading as Swades Foods Springfield, is seeking a full-time Retail Manager (General) to manage its Indian grocery store in Springfield, Queensland.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for overall store performance, daily operations, stock purchasing and control, staff management, sales results and customer service standards. This hands-on management position requires sound commercial judgement and demonstrated practical knowledge of Indian and South Asian grocery products, regional ingredients, customer preferences and seasonal demand.

The role is responsible for the Springfield store only. Advantages Full-time employment (38 hours per week) at an annual salary of $80,000–$85,000 plus superannuation at the statutory rate.

The salary offered will be commensurate with the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience. Task & responsibilities • Plan, organise and oversee the overall operation of the Springfield store, including establishing and implementing store policies, procedures and standards, merchandising, store presentation, service standards and day-to-day operational performance. • Determine product ranges and stock requirements; monitor inventory, sales trends, stock turnover and wastage across grocery categories including spices, lentils, rice, flours, snacks and regional ingredients. • Manage purchasing and supplier relationships, including selecting products, placing orders, negotiating supply arrangements where authorised and resolving delivery or availability issues. • Plan promotional activities,



merchandising and stock levels to respond to seasonal demand and cultural festivals, including Diwali, Holi and Navratri. • Establish and maintain customer service standards, address escalated complaints and use customer feedback to improve store operations. • Review sales performance, pricing and product demand, and implement appropriate sales, merchandising and operational improvements within business policies. • Recruit, train, roster and supervise store employees; allocate responsibilities, monitor performance and address staffing or conduct issues. • Prepare and monitor store budgets, sales targets and operating expenses, and implement measures to improve revenue, margins and cost control. • Review store procedures and operational results, identify opportunities for improvement and report performance and recommendations to business owners. • Ensure compliance with applicable workplace health and safety, food handling, hygiene and other retail operating requirements. Essential Skills • Demonstrated ability to manage the overall operations and commercial performance of a retail store. • Sound knowledge of grocery merchandising, inventory management, product selection and customer demand, including demonstrated knowledge of Indian and South Asian grocery products and regional ingredients.



• Experience managing purchasing, supplier relationships, stock availability and replenishment. • Ability to plan inventory and merchandising for seasonal and cultural demand, including major South Asian festivals. • Ability to recruit, train, roster, supervise and manage retail staff. • Strong budgeting, sales analysis, communication, organisation, customer service and problem-solving skills. Qualification & experience • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, retail management or a related field. • At least one year of experience in retail management involving store operations, stock control, supplier coordination and staff supervision. • Demonstrated practical knowledge of Indian and South Asian grocery products, including product selection, merchandising, regional ingredients and seasonal customer demand.
