About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Painter to join the construction team on a permanent full-time basis.

The role involves carrying out high-quality painting and finishing work on new residential builds and renovation projects.

You will work as part of a coordinated site team under the direction of the site supervisor or leading hand, contributing to the timely and accurate completion of finishes that meet both client expectations and relevant Australian standards.

The position requires consistent attendance on construction sites in the Adelaide metropolitan area, with work progressing through the programmed stages of each project.





This is a permanent full-time opportunity offering competitive remuneration and the chance to work on a range of residential projects where attention to detail and reliable workmanship are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Mix and adjust coating materials on site to achieve the correct colour, consistency and finish required for each surface and specification Complete the final coating of walls, ceilings, joinery, trims and exterior elements using hand tools, rollers and spray systems to the required standard Protect finished and adjoining areas, set out drop sheets and establish safe working platforms before any preparation or coating work begins Remove existing coatings or coverings, repair defective timber and other substrates, fill imperfections and bring all surfaces to a smooth, sealed condition ready for finishing Keep tools, equipment and the immediate work area clean and in good order throughout the project and at the end of each stage Install and finish wall coverings where specified, ensuring patterns align and edges are trimmed neatly Carry out minor related finishing tasks as directed, including assisting with the repair or replacement of glass in timber or metal window frames

Key Requirements•AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV in Painting (or equivalent recognised qualification)•Minimum of one year or more of relevant experience working as a Painter on residential construction or renovation projects•Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality finishes that meet Australian standards and client expectations•Capacity to work reliably as part of a site team under the direction of a supervisor or leading hand•Willingness and ability to attend construction sites across the Adelaide metropolitan area on a full-time basis•Strong attention to detail, consistent workmanship and commitment to safe work practices
