Rochford Wines is one of the Yarra Valley’s established wine destinations, with a cellar door, two restaurants and a full calendar of weddings and events. Senior front of house leaders are now wanted for Isabella’s Restaurant and il Vigneto Pizzeria, at Venue Manager and Restaurant Manager level.

Venue Manager
Take overall responsibility for the guest experience and commercial performance of both venues. You run Isabella’s day to day, lead its front of house team and set the direction for il Vigneto Pizzeria, working with the manager there.

Restaurant Manager
Own the day-to-day running of one of the venues, from sequence of service and rosters to labour costs, team development and guest satisfaction. You work closely with the manager of the other venue, sharing staff and resources across both. A part-time Restaurant Manager covering Friday to Sunday will also be considered, with salary pro-rata. Restaurant Manager salaries start from $70,000 full time equivalent.

Hours and availability
Rosters are predominantly daytime. Weekend availability is essential. Saturday is a full day with lunch and dinner service, and evenings come up for weddings and functions, most often on Saturdays.

Responsibilities

- Lead from the floor,



with a visible presence through every service

- Plan ahead across bookings, peak periods, weddings and functions

- Roster the team and manage labour cost against forecast trade

- Work closely with the kitchen, events, cellar door and hospitality operations teams

- Coordinate dining and tasting experiences with the cellar door

- Coach, train and recruit a front of house team

- Drive wine and beverage sales through confident, genuine service

About you

- Weekend availability, plus evenings for weddings and functions as required

- Proven experience in a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, Venue Manager or similar senior role

- Experience leading multiple service areas, venues or teams (essential for Venue Manager)

- Strong rostering, labour management and commercial awareness

- A calm, organised approach when service is at its busiest

- Current RSA

- Winery, destination venue or events experience is a plus, as is wine knowledge or a keen interest in building it
