We are an Australian leader in Chlor Alkali, operating multiple plants across Australia including one within the Kemerton Industrial Park located 20 km North of Bunbury, a short 10-minute commute from the Australind area.

Our Kemerton team are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Process Operator to commence as soon as possible on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidate will enjoy being part of a small, tight knit team (typically four per shift), who takes pride in their operational knowledge and has excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The plant has been producing chlor-alkali related products since the 1980s; predominantly chlorine gas and caustic soda. The plant has undergone further expansion to install a state-of-the-art electrolysis process which has seen production double and secured the site’s long-term future.

About the role

We are looking for a Process Operator to join our Chlor Alkali Plant based within the Kemerton Industrial Park located 20 km outside of Bunbury, WA. This position is a permanent, full-time continuous shift position operating on an even time roster, split across day and night shifts, with two weekends off out of every four.

Key Responsibilities:

- Become competent in all aspects of plant operation under the direction of the shift supervisor.
- Respond to process alarms and equipment fault notifications from the plant control room system.
- Carry out routine plant sampling and laboratory analyses as required.
- Analysing process information and interpreting complex operational data to make sound judgement decisions.

The successful candidate will ideally have operational experience working in a continuous processing environment, preferably in the chemical manufacturing or closely related industry. However, this is not a mandatory requirement.
