Position Overview

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable casual cook to join our team. This position offers a flexible schedule of 24 to 35 hours per week, ideal for those looking to balance work with other commitments. You will be working in a friendly environment, preparing delicious meals and contributing to the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and cook a variety of meals in accordance with our menu and standards.

· Ensure all dishes are presented attractively and meet quality requirements.

· Maintain a clean and organised kitchen space, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.

· Assist with inventory checks and the ordering of supplies as needed.

· Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team.

· Support with menu planning and suggest recent ideas for dishes.

Requirements

· Previous experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred.

· Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.





· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong time management skills and ability to handle busy periods.

· Flexibility to work mornings, arvos, weekends, or public holidays as rostered.

· Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Hours and Remuneration

This is a casual position averaging 30 hours per week. Shifts may vary and can include morning, afternoon, and weekend work. Pay is competitive and in accordance with the Restaurant Industry award.
