About the opportunity
We're looking for a passionate, people-focused Household Relationship Manager to help Australian households make the transition to cleaner, more affordable, all-electric homes.
Electric Future is leading the $40 million ARENA-funded Go Electric Pilot Program, helping up to 1,000 households in Canberra navigate their home electrification journey.
You'll be the friendly, knowledgeable and trusted point of contact for households, guiding them from their first enquiry through to installation and ongoing support.
This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, solving problems and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You'll also have the opportunity to shape how we support households as the program grows.
What you'll be doing
- Household engagement: Connect with interested households, answer questions and help them take the next steps towards electrifying their homes.
- Customer relationship management: Be a consistent point of contact throughout the journey, from initial assessment to installation and aftercare.
- Installation coordination: Work with installers, community coordinators and delivery partners to ensure households have a smooth, well-coordinated experience.
- Customer support and problem-solving: Manage enquiries, resolve issues and complaints, and ensure households feel informed and supported.
- Inclusive customer experiences: Provide additional support to households with different needs or circumstances, ensuring electrification is accessible to everyone.
- Continuous improvement: Capture customer feedback, identify opportunities to improve the experience and work with our product and technology teams to make the journey simpler.
- Program insights: Help us understand what households need, where they encounter challenges and how we can deliver a better, more scalable service.
What we're looking for
You'll be a natural relationship builder who cares about people and takes pride in delivering great customer experiences.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Solid experience in customer service, customer success, account management or community engagement.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex information in a simple, approachable way.
- A calm, empathetic and solutions-focused approach to resolving customer issues.
- Strong organisational skills and experience managing multiple customer relationships and follow-ups.
- Confidence using CRM systems and digital tools to manage customer interactions.
- An ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
- A genuine interest in sustainability, clean energy and helping households make positive changes.
Experience in home electrification, energy, community programs or supporting vulnerable households would be a bonus, but isn't essential.
Why join Electric Future?
We're building businesses and programs that make electrification easier and more accessible for Australian households.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Contribute to a nationally significant home electrification initiative.
- Make a tangible difference to households transitioning to cleaner, more affordable energy.
- Help shape the customer experience and support model for a program designed to scale.
- Work alongside a passionate team and a diverse network of industry and community partners.
- Influence the development of digital products that make home electrification simpler.
- Grow your career as Electric Future and the Go Electric program expand.
The details
Location: Canberra-based preferred, or remote with regular travel to Canberra and surrounding suburbs.
Employment: Full-time, fixed-term until 31 October 2029.
Reporting to: Program Operations Manager.
Interested?
If you're passionate about helping people, love solving problems and want to play a meaningful role in Australia's clean energy transition, we'd love to hear from you.
