Sports Turf Construction Labourer:

McMahons is seeking reliable Sports Turf Construction labourers to join our growing operational team delivering high-quality sportsfield and civil construction projects throughout Victoria's Northern & Western Suburbs.

This is a hands-on civil construction role working directly with our in-house workforce, final-trim plant operators, and site supervisors. Projects involve detailed earthmoving support, drainage and irrigation installation, fine grading, and specialised turf profile builds

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute daily construction tasks including sub-grade preparation, base works, and hand trimming.
- Assist with the installation of sportsground drainage systems, irrigation networks, and sub-surface profiles.
- Work alongside final-trim operators and laser levelling equipment to achieve precise final surface tolerances.
- Operate light plant, rollers, tractors, and site utility vehicles where ticketed and authorised.
- Maintain clean, organised, and protected site conditions at all times.
- Comply with all McMahons Occupational Health & Safety policies,



procedures, and SWMS requirements.
- Participate actively in daily pre-start meetings and site safety briefings.
- Ensure all works are completed to high quality standards without damage to existing infrastructure or turf assets.

Skills & Experience:

- Previous experience in sportsfield, golf course, racecourse, or commercial civil turf construction.
- Solid background in civil earthworks, with an understanding of drainage, levels, and soil profiles.
- White Card and valid Driver’s Licence with reliable transport.
- Plant tickets (Skid Steer, Excavator, Tractor) are highly regarded.
- Strong work ethic, physical fitness, and a history of reliable attendance.
