EXPERIENCED COOK / CHEF WANTED - UNITED SOUTHBROOK ROADHOUSE

Location: 2189 Gore Highway, Southbrook QLD 4363

We are currently looking for a qualified or experienced Cook/Chef to join our friendly team at United Southbrook Roadhouse.

We are looking for someone who can independently prepare fresh breakfast and lunch meals, including daily specials, burgers, fried foods and other popular roadhouse meals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare fresh breakfast and lunch meals, including daily specials.

- Prepare burgers, sandwiches and other takeaway food.

- Cook and maintain hot food items, including fried foods, for the bain-marie display.

- Prepare fresh sandwiches daily for display in the food cabinet.

- Maintain high standards of food quality, freshness and presentation.

- Organise food preparation for the following day.

- Monitor stock levels and assist with food preparation and ordering.

- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.

- Be willing to learn basic POS and fuel station console operations to assist other team members when required.

REQUIREMENTS

- Previous experience as a Cook or Chef, preferably in a roadhouse, cafe, takeaway shop or similar environment.

- Cooking qualifications or relevant practical cooking experience.

- Ability to prepare breakfast and lunch meals independently.

- Positive knowledge of food safety and hygiene.

- Ability to work efficiently during busy periods.

- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

- Willingness to learn basic console and customer service duties when required.
