Installer / Leading Hand – Central Coast NSW Full-Time | Company Vehicle | Overtime | Career Progression Australian Perimeter Services (APS) is an established, family-owned business specialising in the installation and maintenance of security bollards, automatic gates, boom gates, turnstiles and car park equipment. We’re seeking a reliable, mechanically minded installer who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving and is capable of taking responsibility for jobs from start to finish. We’re looking for someone who can learn our products, develop their skills and confidently manage installation projects independently. About the Role This position is based on the NSW Central Coast, with most projects located throughout Sydney and Greater Sydney. Regular travel to Sydney is essential, with occasional regional and interstate work. Your responsibilities will include: * Reading and interpreting site plans and drawings * Installing bollards, gates, barriers and car park equipment * Core drilling, concrete fixing and general installation work * Operating hand tools, power tools and specialised equipment * Planning and organising materials and daily activities * Troubleshooting installation challenges * Maintaining safe, clean and organised worksites * Liaising professionally with customers and site supervisors * Completing job documentation and handovers * Working independently or as part of a small team About You We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, thinks ahead and can be trusted to complete work without constant supervision. Experience with our specific products isn’t essential. Training will be provided to someone with the right attitude and practical ability. Ideally, you’ll have: * Experience in construction, installation,



fabrication or mechanical work * Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence using tools * Good problem-solving and organisational skills * Excellent time management and attention to detail * Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions * Good communication skills and a skilled attitude * Reliability, accountability and pride in your workmanship Essential Requirements * Current Australian driver’s licence with a good driving history * Construction White Card * Full Australian working rights * Physically capable of manual installation work * Willingness to travel regularly throughout Sydney and NSW * Flexibility for overtime and occasional interstate travel * Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and random drug and alcohol testing * Sound understanding of workplace health and safety * Ability to complete basic measurements and paperwork Desirable Skills * Trade qualification or relevant construction experience * Experience with gates, bollards, fencing or security equipment * Core drilling, concrete or steel fabrication experience * Forklift, EWP or Working at Heights tickets * Experience managing jobs or small teams What We Offer * Full-time, stable employment * Competitive wages with overtime and applicable penalty rates * Company vehicle * Ongoing training and development * Opportunity to progress into a Leading Hand or Supervisor role * Varied commercial, industrial and government projects * Supportive, family-owned business * Independence and responsibility as your skills develop Why Join APS?
