Senior financial reporting role within a leading resources business.
An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join a large and complex organisation within the resources sector.
Working as part of a corporate finance function, this role will support group financial reporting, consolidations, technical accounting and governance activities, with a particular focus on half-year and year-end reporting requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Support the preparation of half-year and annual financial reporting
- Assist with group consolidations and associated reporting requirements
- Provide technical accounting support and guidance across the business
- Assist with the interpretation and application of IFRS/AASB accounting standards
- Support financial statement preparation and statutory reporting requirements
- Contribute to accounting policy and governance activities
- Assist with the monitoring and effectiveness of internal financial controls
About you
- CA/CPA qualified
- Solid experience across financial reporting and consolidations
- Sound technical knowledge of IFRS/AASB
- Experience within a large, complex or multinational organisation highly regarded
- Previous mining/resources experience advantageous
- Experience using SAP or another large ERP system desirable
