Experienced Carpenter / Handy Person required for a large facilities maintenance company

An established facilities maintenance company with a solid portfolio of blue-chip clients is looking for 2 x experienced Maintenance Carpenter / Handy Persons to join its team.This is an excellent opportunity to move into a secure, long-term facilities maintenance role, working across a portfolio of commercial and industrial sites across Sydney Metro.
Your new role
As a Maintenance Carpenter / Handy Person, you will be responsible for delivering all-round building maintenance. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days will be exactly the same.Your duties will include:General carpentry repairs and maintenanceHanging, adjusting and repairing doorsWindow repairsPartitioning and minor building worksMinor plumbing repairsReplacing lamps and basic lighting maintenancePainting, patching and touch-up workGeneral reactive and preventative maintenanceLiaising directly with the client and site stakeholdersCoordinating with subcontractors when requiredCompleting basic maintenance reportsOther general building maintenance duties as required
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position,



you will need:Strong all-round carpentry / Handy Person skillsConfidence undertaking a broad range of minor maintenance tasksExcellent customer service and communication skillsBasic computer skills for reporting and completing maintenance documentationThe ability to work autonomously and professionally within a client-facing environmentClear criminal historyAbove all, you'll be someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems and can build a strong client relationships.
