Hays is partneringwith a major telecommunications organisation to recruit an experienced SeniorField Technician for a permanent opportunity based in Mount Isa, Queensland.

Please note: This isa locally based position. Applicants must already be residing in Mount Isa andhave full Australian working rights. Relocation assistance and FIFOarrangements are not available for this role.

Your current role
This is a hands onfield position focused on the installation, maintenance and fault finding oftelecommunications infrastructure and services across Mount Isa.
Yourresponsibilities will include:
Installation, repair and maintenance of telecommunications equipment Fault finding and troubleshooting network and customer equipment Working across fibre, copper and HFC infrastructure Service activation and fault rectification Network upgrades and preventative maintenance Fibre splicing and cable termination Responding to technical faults and service issues Completing associated field reporting and documentation
The role is 38 hoursper week, operating within normal working hours of 7am to 7pm, with overtime asrequired.

What you'll need to succeed
Currently residing in Mount Isa,



Queensland Full Australian working rights ACMA cabling licence preferred Current driver's licence Cert III or Cert IV in Telecommunications Recent telecommunications field experience Robust installation, maintenance and fault-finding skills Experience with fibre, copper, HFC or similar telecommunications infrastructure Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work autonomously in a field-based environment
