Our client is a market leader in labelling, marking, and coding systems with over 40 years of experience delivering high-quality inline solutions across various manufacturing sectors. With a strong support team, established brand presence, and exclusive product lines, they are now seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business across Victoria and Tasmania.

This role is focused on current business generation within manufacturing industries such as FMCG, food, beverage, and pharmaceuticals. Working closely with the wider technical and aftersales teams, this person will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building relationships, and converting deals involving capital equipment for production line integration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Proactively prospect and win new business across VIC and TAS within the manufacturing sector
- Conduct on-road sales activities and engage customers from line-level operators to C-suite decision-makers
- Understand client production line needs and recommend fit-for-purpose labelling solutions
- Manage full sales cycle including site visits, solution development, proposals, and negotiations
- Work closely with the aftersales, engineering,



and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Maintain an accurate and active pipeline of opportunities using internal CRM and sales dashboards

About You:

- Proven experience in capital equipment sales within manufacturing industries (FMCG, food, beverage, etc.)
- Technically capable of understanding production line machinery and customer applications
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Confident working autonomously and comfortable with regular regional travel
- Ideally has experience with industrial labelling systems or packaging equipment (not essential)
- Self-driven, commercially focused, and capable of building strong customer relationships

What's On Offer:

- Base salary up to $130,000 (potential for more depending on experience and ability to hit the ground running)
- Car allowance (includes fuel card, e-tag for business and reasonable personal use)
- Strong commission structure offering a percentage of total deal value if minimum targets hit
- Full training, onboarding, and technical support
- Clear ramp-up plan with shadowing in first 1-3 months, and close support while on the road from month 3-6
- Work within a supportive and experienced national sales and service team
