Values: A$100.00/hr - A$150.00/hr Principal Consultant - Dev Ops/SRE/Platform Engineering Location: Sydney (Hybrid)Contract: 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extension We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with a strong background in Windows Server and VMware v Sphere administration to join our Sydney-based infrastructure team. This role is suited to someone who enjoys hands‐on engineering, automation, and producing detailed technical designs for enterprise compute and storage platforms. Key Responsibilities Administer and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) Manage and maintain VMware v Sphere infrastructure (ESXi, v Center, clusters) Design and document low‐level compute and storage architectures for server platforms Perform server provisioning, lifecycle management, and capacity planning Develop and maintain automation using Power Shell (advanced scripting) Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across compute, storage, and virtualisation layers Collaborate with architecture, network, and security teams on infrastructure initiatives Contribute to infrastructure improvements, upgrades,



and optimisation projects Key Skills & Experience Strong hands‐on experience as a Systems Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer Deep expertise in Windows Server administration Proven experience managing VMware v Sphere environments at scale Advanced Power Shell scripting skills (automation, reporting, configuration) Demonstrated experience producing low‐level design (LLD) documentation for compute and storage Solid understanding of enterprise storage concepts (SAN, NAS, RAID, performance considerations) Experience in enterprise or large‐scale environments preferred Nice to Have Exposure to backup, DR, and high availability solutions VMware or Microsoft certifications Why Join?
