They are currently looking for an experienced Cook to join their team.The RoleThis is for a full-time role with an annual salary set between $80,000 to $82,000, depending on experience plus superannuation.Duties Will Include Prepare and cook meals following standard recipes, preparation methods, and kitchen proceduresPresent dishes attractively while maintaining consistency, taste, and portion standardsAssist with food preparation and service activities under the direction of kitchen supervisors or chefsMonitor food quality and ensure meals are served at appropriate temperaturesFollow daily menus, production schedules, and portion requirements during kitchen operationsCheck and record food temperatures to ensure compliance with food safety regulationsMaintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, equipment, and preparation areasSupport stock rotation, ingredient storage,



and inventory handling proceduresOperate kitchen appliances and cooking equipment safely and efficientlyCommunicate with kitchen staff and supervisors regarding food preparation and operational requirementsEnsure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standardsSupport kitchen operations during busy service periods while maintaining workflow efficiency Requirements At least a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)Minimum 12 months of experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchenAt least 12 months' experience in preparing and cooking pastas and pizzasAt least 12 months' experience in cooking using wood-fired oven and open fireAt least 12 months' experience in preparing pizza dough from scratchAt least 12 months' experience in preparing pastas and sauces from scratchMust be able to work with proteins like pork, beef and seafoodMust know how to prepare meals to dietary requirementsSound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe work practices in a commercial kitchenAbility to work in a fast-paced team setting, including evenings, weekends and public holiday
