Technical Business Analyst - Oracle Fusion ERP

Contract: Immediate start to 30 June 2027
Location: Melbourne preferred. ACT, QLD and SA also considered.
Clearance: Australian citizenship required. Existing Australian Government security clearance preferred.

About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join an established Oracle Fusion ERP implementation team as the project enters the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase.

This is a hands-on contract opportunity for a business analyst with strong Oracle Fusion experience and a background in finance, procurement, contracts and project costing and billing.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and implementation partners to validate business requirements, support UAT activities and ensure the ERP solution meets operational and business needs.

The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, practical documentation.

Key responsibilities

- Support the delivery of the Oracle Fusion ERP implementation, with a focus on UAT preparation, execution and validation.

- Review and adapt existing UAT scripts to reflect local business requirements and processes.

- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to gather, document and validate business and technical requirements.

- Develop and maintain As-Is and To-Be business process maps, functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.

- Analyse business processes, identify gaps and assess the impact of proposed system changes.

- Work with finance, procurement, contracts and project billing stakeholders to validate business requirements and workflows.

- Maintain traceability between business requirements, system functionality and UAT outcomes.

- Support the identification,



documentation and resolution of defects, issues and business process gaps.

- Assist with data analysis, cleansing, preparation and migration activities.

- Collaborate with project managers, technical teams and implementation partners to support delivery milestones.

- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, change management and business readiness activities.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience as a Technical Business Analyst, ERP Implementation Specialist or similar role within a major ERP implementation.

- Strong Oracle Fusion experience, preferably within a finance or enterprise resource planning setting.

- Experience supporting ERP implementations through UAT, including test script development, requirements validation and defect management.

- Strong understanding of finance, project costing and billing, contracts and procurement processes.

- Experience with business process modelling, requirements gathering, gap analysis and functional documentation.

- The ability to work across multiple business functions and understand how processes and systems integrate.

- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.

- Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.

Contract details

The contract will run from commencement through to 30 June 2027, with an immediate start available.

Melbourne is the preferred location, although candidates based in the ACT, Queensland and South Australia will also be considered.

Australian citizenship is required, with an existing Australian Government security clearance preferred.

A relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
